Nurse at Pa. hospital drops, injures newborn

It is a new mother’s worst nightmare: A newborn baby slips out of the hands of a nurse at a western Pennsylvania hospital, hits the floor and injures his head. The news station quotes a hospital statement as saying that a 30-year veteran nurse at the hospital’s Family Beginnings Birthing Center dropped the baby boy — since identified as Baby Eli, son of Jacqueline Hunt — as the nurse was seated and caring for the infant.
