VDA dentists to yield giveaway dental caring during Special Olympics Games

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Dental Association (VDA) dentists will offer giveaway caring to hundreds of contestants during a 2016 Special Olympics Virginia Summer Games on Saturday.

The games are being hold during a University of Richmond from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

VDA members will work alongside VCU dental students and shade all meddlesome participants for a accumulation of dental needs.

Patients will be seen for exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

The eventuality is partial of a MOM projects, that provides dental caring in underserved areas of a state where there are not adequate dental practitioners to sufficient residence a verbal health needs of a community.

“We are vehement to partner with Special Olympics of Virginia and applaud a achievements of these moving athletes,” says VDA President Rick Taliaferro. “Our dentists and other volunteers support a participants on and off a field, and that’s a good feeling.”
